Lawrence Township Holding Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic

Volunteers are needed to assist with the clinic.

September is cat license renewal month in Lawrence Township. To help residents in the licensing effort, the Lawrence Township Health Department will hold a free rabies vaccination clinic next month.

The clinic is open to all dogs and cats over 3 years. The clinic will be held rain or shine on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the  Central Park Garage on Eggert Crossing Road.

The LTHD announced the following regulations for the clinic:

  • All pets must be accompanied by an adult
  • All pets must be leashed or in suitable carriers
  • For safety and insurance purposes no children under 7 years
Volunteers are needed to assist in the registration of pets during rabies clinic. Anyone interested in helping can contact the animal control officer at 844-7092.

Cat licenses are renewed in the Municipal Clerk’s office and are due by Sept. 30. Proof of current rabies certification and proof of spaying or neutering (if applicable) must be presented when a license is purchased by mail or in person. The fee is $11 if spayed or neutered and $14 if not spayed or neutered.
