Revive! Justice

At Revive! Christians across a variety of denominations will gather from 10 AM to 5 PM for a spirit-filled day of preaching, praising, singing and learning, as they ask: how can followers of Jesus do justice, right where they are? Revive! 2012 will focus on how Christian faith speaks to the critical issues of incarceration and immigration.

Reverend Dr. W. Wilson Goode, Sr., the first African American mayor of Philadelphia and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Education for seven years during the Clinton Administration, will be speaking at Revive! Justice 2012 on April 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton.

The day also includes addresses by five local preachers: Rev. Darrell L. Armstrong, Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church in Trenton, Rev. Dr. Melinda Contreras-Byrd, Co-Pastor of Grant Chapel AME Church in Trenton, Rev. Paul Jeanes, III, Rector of Trinity Church in Princeton, Rev. Simeon Spencer, Pastor of Union Baptist Church in Trenton, Pastor David Rojas of Ministerio de Reyes in Trenton. In addition, the Trenton Children’s Chorus, an instant gospel choir led by Deborah Ford and William Heard, and a praise dance troupe will perform. Through two common meals, attendees will also seek to build community across racial, denominational, creedal and economic barriers.
