Memorial Day parade, a carnival and a visit from the Trenton Thunder mascot highlight weekend events in and around Lawrenceville.

All weekend

D.A.R.E. Carnival, 1638 Old Trenton Rd, West Windsor

Carnival will be held next two weekends from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday, Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. On Memorial Day the carnival will run from noon to 10 p.m. Fireworks will be held on both Saturdays. Friday

Meditation Circle, 2751 Us Highway 1, Lawrence Township, 2:30 p.m.

Join Reference Librarian Ann Kerr and reduce stress using meditation. Light stretching at the beginning of the meditation hour will relax your muscles and allow you to be more comfortable and focused. Registration suggested.

Saturday

Boomer - Trenton Thunder Mascot - visits Houlihans, Houlihan's, 3371 Route 1 1, Lawrenceville, noon.

Boomer visits Houlihan's for free photos and giveaways.

Plants as Planet Partners, Terhune Orchards, 330 Cold Soil Rd, Princeton, 1 p.m.

On May 25, participants, led by Pam Mount, will explore the gardens and fields at Terhune Orchards, and begin to design their own gardens and rain gardens.  The group will tour the Cherry Grove Farm CSA.

 Lawrence High School, 2525 Princeton Pike Lawrenceville, 10 a.m.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Lawrence High School, procede north on Princeton Pike, then onto Darrah Lane, and then to Birchwood Knoll, before it concludes with a service in Lawrence Township Veterans Park at the end of Oaklyn Terrace.
