The NJ Golf Foundation Brings Nation’s Largest “Golf In Schools” Program to Trenton Catholic Academy

The nation’s largest “Golf In Schools” program debuted at Trenton Catholic Academy this past week, as the New Jersey Golf Foundation (NJGF), the charitable arm of the New Jersey PGA Section, sent PGA Professionals Ryan Jones and Matt Callahan to physical education class, to teach students the fundamentals during their first class session. Fully funded by the NJGF at no cost to school districts, Golf In Schools currently impacts more 110,000 children (K-8) at more than 200 schools in New Jersey, and continues to grow. Golf In Schools is an initiative designed to introduce the game of golf to children by incorporating it into the physical education curriculum at elementary and middle schools, as the NJGF provides each school with the golf equipment they need to bring the game into the non-traditional setting of the school’s gymnasium and limited-space outdoor areas.
