The National Writing Project @ Rider University is pleased to invite you to join us on campus for a summer of outstanding professional development opportunities. Presented by NWP-trained Teacher Consultants, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sessions:
· Modeling Informational Writing, Poetry, and Personal Narratives (7/8 – 7/11, 8:30 – 11:30 AM)
· Writing to Support Content-Area Literacy (7/8 for K-5, 7/9 for 6-12; 8:30 – 11:30 AM)
· Beginning Teacher Workshop (7/8 & 7/9, 12:30 – 3:30 PM)
· Using MS OneDrive in the Classroom (7/10 & 7/11, 12:30 – 3:30 PM)
· Readers Workshop: Building a Community of Readers (7/14 – 7/17, 8:30 – 11:30 AM)
· Can writing still be engaging and authentic…even when preparing for PARCC? ABSOLUTELY! (7/14 & 7/15, 12:30 – 3:30 PM)
· Word Work (7/16, 12:30 – 3:30 PM)
· Classroom Management (7/17, 12:30 – 3:30 PM)
