Lawrence Organic Food Waste Program

One of the best gifts you can give to your children, grandchildren or to our great-grandchildren  is the gift of preserving Mother  Earth  for generations to come. With that said, please come to the Lawrence Public Library on February 27th – 7:00 pm. and listen to what the Township is doing:

Lawrence Township is embarking on a new recycling program that will allow residents another way to get all the organic materials out of your regular garbage collection.  We need 300 people to volunteer to participate in this program before collection begins.  Its cost is $17.00 monthly and includes a 32- gallon recycle cart. Central Jersey Waste will bill the participants quarterly. You can register by sending an email to: jbrokofsky@lawrencetwp.com.

Gregory Whitehead, CPWM, Director of Public Works, Township of Lawrence, and Pamela Frank, Organic Food Waste Committee Chair, will explain the importance of this new program.
