Celebrate at MarketFair with a Fashion Show, Tarot Card Readings &More

There's lots to do in and around Lawrenceville today.

TCNJ hosts a Brown Bag Series Lecture: This Trenton Life: Screening and Discussion. The short This short documentary chronicles the writing and 
production of a theatrical presentation, “This Trenton Life”, created by 
Trenton-area youth in conjunction with Passage Theatre of Trenton. A Q&A will follow.  The Mildred & Ernest E. Mayo Concert Hall (Music Building), 11:30 a.m. 

MarketFair will celebrate its recent renovations with a mall-wide fashion show, tarot card readings, and store specials and giveaways. The first 150 registered attendees will receive swag bags, 5 p.m. 

Hear jazz ranging from John Coltrane to Elton John when Karrin Allyson, a Grammy award-nominated singer, presents "A Song for Congo." The concert benefits charities in the Democratic Republic of Congo, including UFAR, founded by Lawrenceville resident Daniel Shungu, which works to eliminate riverblindness as a major public health and socioeconomic problem.  The concert also benefits Woman, Cradle of Abundance. At a private clubhouse in Princeton. Reservations required. 7 p.m. 

TCNJ Jazz Ensemble, Kendall Hall Main Stage Theatre, 8 p.m. 

Bryan Bowers, master of the autoharp, returns to the Princeton Folk Music Society. He specializes in old-fashioned folk music rooted in the Appalachian tradition which he plays on the autoharp accompanied by rich vocals and entertaining stories.  Christ Congregation Church, 8:15 p.m.
