Ben Franklin Student Participates in Pageant, School Orientations Scheduled

Congrats to Ben Franklin Elementary School student Julianna DeMaio for representing Lawrenceville in the National American Miss Pageant. While the 7-year-old didn’t take home a crown, she learned valuable communication and public speaking skills during the pageant.

The Lawrence Township Schools Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. at the Lawrence High School Library.

Lawrence Middle School orientation for rising seventh graders and new students will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Lawrenceville Elementary School new student orientation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with a high of 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Showers and thunderstorms are possible.
