Lawrence Township Municipal Building

Located at 2207 Lawrence Rd., just south of Interstate 95 and north of the Rider University campus, the Lawrence Township Municipal Building is home to most of the local government's offices. Located within the building are the Township Council's chambers, the offices of the Township Clerk and Township Manager, the Health Department, the Engineering Division, the Division of Code Enforcement (which includes the offices of the township's construction official and fire marshal), the township's planning and zoning boards, the Recreation Department, and the township's tax collector and assessor.

Originally dedicated in 1965, the municipal building underwent an expansion in 1977. The township eventually ran out of space and was forced to relocate code enforcement officials into an office trailer located in the parking lot. Following the 2002 opening of the township's newly constructed police and courts building next-door, plans began for another expansion and renovation of the municipal building. That work, intended in part to eliminate the need for the code enforcement trailer, began in 2005 and was completed in 2007.
