The owners of the Princeton Shopping Center in Princeton Township are in the process of selling and the sale is expected to close by June 1. Shopping Center tenants were sent estoppel letters last week, multiple tenants confirmed to Patch. A longtime tenant confirmed receipt of the letter and said the owner, George Comfort and Sons of New York, anticipates a closing by June 1. “That’s when we were told they were closing, that’s the goal,” said the tenant, who asked not to be identified. The Princeton Shopping Center is located at 301 N. Harrison St. and includes 55 shops and restaurants, a two-acre landscaped courtyard and extensive pedestrian pathways. Nearly a decade after discussions first began about a new and expanded hospital, officials cut the ribbon at the new University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro on Saturday. “Welcome to your new hospital,” Hospital President and CEO Barry Rabner told members of the public came for a day of celebration and a sneak peek at the new $445 million hospital complex off Route 1 in Plainsboro. “Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to serve you in the past and hope to do our best to serve you in the future,” Rabner said. Can an employer force you to reveal your Facebook or other social media password as a condition for getting hired or keeping your job? That issue began to get some attention in March after a statistician in New York reported that during an interview with a potential employer, the woman interviewing him had searched for his Facebook and, upon discovering that it was private, asked him for the password. The statistician, Justin Bassett, refused and left the interview according to the Associated Press. Lawrenceville School flipped on the metaphorical switch to its new 6.1 megawatt solar farm during a dedication ceremony held last Friday, May 4. The solar array, construction of which began in September 2011 and was completed in March, is expected to have a positive impact on the school, both environmentally and economically. "The solar farm is part of the Green Campus Initiative which involves everything from energy to lawn maintenance to water usage. Then there's a strong economic incentive as well," said Sam Kosoff, the private school’s director of sustainability. There were more than 50 entries this year when Rider's radio station, 107.7 The Bronc, put out a call for find Rider's Top Student Chef this year. Allison Clay walked away with the honors with her Nutella Ganache Cupcakes with Vanilla Mascarpone Icing. You can taste the winning creation at PJ's Pancake House during the month of April.
