Volunteer Fire Chiefs Sworn into Office by Mayor
Mayor Jim Kownacki administered the oath of office to the chiefs of Lawrence Township's three volunteer fire companies during Tuesday evening's township council meeting.
The chiefs of Lawrence Township’s three volunteer fire companies were sworn into office for 2013 during Tuesday evening’s (Jan. 8) Lawrence Township Council meeting.
Mayor Jim Kownacki administered the oath of office to Slackwood Volunteer Fire Co. Chief Michael Oakley, Lawrence Road Volunteer Fire Co. Chief Shaun Dlabik, and Lawrenceville Volunteer Fire Co. Chief Gary Wasko.
Collectively, the three chiefs have over 67 years of experience as firefighters in Lawrence Township.
Oakley also works as a career firefighter in Trenton, while Dlabik works in building management for the state Department of Human Services and Wasko is employed as a detective for the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office.
