Two Slackwood School Teachers Receive State Award

Teachers George Regan and John Acampora have been named by the New Jersey State Department of Education as 2012 New Jersey Exemplary Elementary Educators.

Slackwood Elementary School teachers George Regan (math academic support instruction) and John Acampora (first grade) have been named by the New Jersey State Department of Education as 2012 New Jersey Exemplary Elementary Educators.

Jay Billy, Slackwood principal, nominated the teachers.

The award is given to exceptional teachers who have exhibited outstanding leadership abilities, strong knowledge and skills, an inspiring presence, and a clear vision for quality teaching and learning that has a positive impact on students, colleagues and the school community.
