Two people were transported to a local hospital after two passenger vehicles and a truck collided on Interstate 295 in Hamilton Township near the Lawrence Township border about 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

A Patch reader sent in the above photo of the crash, which happened between the exits for Route 1 in Lawrence Township and Sloan Avenue in Hamilton Township.

Police, firefighters and emergency medical personnel from Lawrence and Hamilton responded to the accident, which is being investigated by the New Jersey State Police.
