Puppy Stolen From Myrtle Avenue House

Lawrence Township police are investigating the circumstances of the Friday morning break-in, including exactly how the dognapper gained entry to the home.

A 4-month-old Maltese puppy was stolen when a home was burglarized on Myrtle Avenue in Lawrence Township early Friday, Jan. 20, authorities confirmed.

The dog's owner called police about 6:50 a.m. after she awoke to find that her pet was missing from the home, according to Lawrence Township Police spokesman Lt. Charles Edgar.

Also missing, he said, were the dog’s bedding and some dog toys. Nothing else appeared to have been stolen from the home, he said.
