Obituary: Mary Helen Wiley, 87

A memorial service for the longtime Lawrence Township resident will be held on Wednesday.

 

Mary Helen Wiley, 87, of Lawrence Township passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Hamilton Continuing Care Center.

Born in Ford City, Pa., she had resided in Lawrence for many years.

She was a graduate of Trenton High School. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville where she was an Elder. Mary Helen was a volunteer for over 50 years at the Mercer Medical Center in Trenton.

Daughter of the late Matthew P. and Agnes Marshall Thornton, and wife of the late Lee A. Wiley, she is survived by three daughters, Lynn E. Hoffman of Lawrence, Jane Wiley and her husband Lawrence Gester of Rehoboth, Mass., and Ann M. Wiley of Lawrence; four grandchildren, Rebecca Wilson, Christopher Ludwig, Alexander Gester and Derek Gester; and two nieces and two nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. at The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville with the Rev. Jeffrey Vamos, pastor, officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service in the church lounge.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville, 2688 Main St., Lawrenceville, N.J. 08648.

Arrangements are by the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington
