Lucille Erkoboni, 74, of Lawrence Township, died on Sunday, Sept. 9, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton.

Born in Johnstown, Pa., she was a Lawrence resident most of her life.

Mrs. Erkoboni was a homemaker and caregiver to her beloved husband for over 23 years. She dedicated herself to her loving family and beloved grandchildren. She was a member of The Church of St. Ann. Mrs. Erkoboni loved baking, playing cards, going to casinos and playing the lottery.

Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Jennie Aiello Taverna, she is survived by her husband Ralph Erkoboni; her son, Ralph Erkoboni Jr.; her two daughters, Donna M. Lester and her husband Wayne, and Genevieve Erkoboni; and her six grandchildren, Christine, Rebecca, Michael, Justin, Shannon, and Jamie.

She is also survived by her two brothers, Dominick and Angelo Taverna; her sister Rose Risoldi and her husband Thomas; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Rebecca Erkoboni, Quinto Erkoboni and his wife Grace, Neal Erkoboni, Richard Erkoboni and his wife Marylou, and David Erkoboni and his wife Genevieve; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.

Friends may call on Thursday, Sept. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
