Nominees Selected to Fill Vacant Seat on Twp. Council

The Lawrence Township Democratic Committee recently selected its three nominees to replace Greg Puliti, who resigned from for Lawrence Township Council at the end of last month.

Members of the Lawrence Township Democratic Committee last Thursday selected township zoning board chairman Stephen Brame, planning board member Ian Dember and zoning board member Ed Wiznitzer as its nominees for Lawrence Township Council to replace Greg Puliti, according to a report published by The Times of Trenton

Citing professional commitments, Puliti – who had served on council almost continuously since 1996, and served as mayor in 1998, 2000, 2003, 2007 and 2011 – resigned from council effective at midnight on Dec. 31, 2012.

The committee had 15 days from the date Puliti’s resignation took effect to forward the names of three nominees to township council. Council, in turn, has an additional 15 days to decide which of the three will serve out the remaining year of Puliti’s term. If council members cannot agree which nominee to appoint, the decision will fall to the democratic committee.

Lets hope it is either Brame or Dember. We don't need " The Wiz " as a councilman.
