Mercer County to Mark Pearl Harbor Anniversary
Memorial service will be held noon today, Dec. 2, in Trenton.
At noon today, Sunday, Dec. 2, Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes will welcome veterans and other members of the Greater Mercer County community to a ceremony marking the 71st anniversary of the Japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor.
The ceremony will be at Catholic War Veterans Post 417, 301 Grand St., Trenton, and the public is encouraged to attend.
This year’s program will feature guest speaker Capt. Stanley Winowicz, U.S.N.R; the tradition of laying a wreath at the base of the American flag; the laying of a second wreath by the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors Association; and a 21-gun salute by the Catholic War Veterans Post 417.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held indoors.

Is there no subject that is hands off in terms of generating publicity for Brian Hughes? The 71st anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Brian just couldn't wait another 4 years for the 75th anniversary which we all can admit is a significant milestone.
