This year, a total of 184 photos were turned in by 68 photographers. Juror Ricardo Barros, in turn, selected the 51 works (by 38 photographers) that appear in the exhibit.

Winners will be announced at tonight’s reception.  Prizes include Best in Show, two Juror’s Choices Awards and six Honorable Mentions.  Purchase Awards from the Mercer County Culture and Heritage Commission, selected by representatives of the commission, will also be presented, as well as the Princeton Photography Club Prize.

Almost a third of the photographers who submitted their work this year (22) were newcomers. Ten of them were chosen for the exhibit.

“That’s what we hope to see,” Gallery Curator Tricia Fagan said in a news release.  “This exhibit provides opportunities for emerging photographers as well as those who show their work more regularly.  It’s a real thrill for the newcomers.”

The exhibit is a partnership between the MCCC Gallery and the Mercer County Culture and Heritage Commission.

Regular gallery hours are Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.; and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
