Man Claiming to Have Gun Robs CVS Pharmacy

The robber got away with a bottle of pain killers. Although he allegedly threatened he had a gun, the man never displayed a weapon.

Lawrence Township police are currently investigating an armed robbery that took place this afternoon (Tuesday, April 24) at the CVS Pharmacy in the 1900 block of Brunswick Pike (Business Route 1) at the corner of Cherry Tree Lane.

It was about 1:55 p.m. when police were notified that, within the previous five minutes, a white male had stolen a bottle of Oxycodone pain killers after presenting a note to a pharmacist.

In the note, the man allegedly threatened that he had a gun. No weapon was ever seen, however, according to police.

Township officers searched the area around the CVS and a description of the robber was broadcast to police departments in neighboring towns, but no suspect was immediately located.
