LMS Student Qualifies for State Round of History Competition
Lawrence Middle School eighth-grader James Gow will compete in the state round of competition for National History Day, to be held at William Paterson University on May 4.

Lawrence Middle School eighth-grader James Gow qualified to compete in the state round of competition for National History Day (NHD), which will be held at William Paterson University on May 4.
During NHD's regional round held at The College of New Jersey on March 3, Gow's website on Martin Luther was selected from among eighteen other websites submitted from nine New Jersey counties in the Junior Individual Website Division (grades 6-8).
The 2013 National History Day theme is "Turning Points in History: People, Ideas, Events."
Other LMS students who participated in the Regional round of competition included: eighth-graders Aanchal Aich (documentary: Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire) and Ruchika Moturi (performance: Ghandi), and seventh-graders Kate Halat (website: RMS Lusitania) and Jack Ullman (paper: Personal Computer Revolution).
