Lawrence Library Book Sale to be Held Saturday

The sale of thousands of used, gently-read books is being run by the Friends of the Lawrence Library. A special after-hours "Preview Night," at which books can be purchased, will be held Friday.

Thousands of used, gently-read books will be available at the Friends of the Lawrence Library Book Sale taking place Saturday, Jan. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Being offered for sale will be paperbacks, hard covers, fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

A special after-hours Preview Night will be held Friday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The library will be closed for normal operations during those hours but you will have the first chance to get some amazing deals.

Admission to the Preview Night is free for Friends of the Lawrence Library members in good standing. No new memberships will be taken at the Preview Night, but  membership forms are always available at the library’s Circulation Desk during regular business hours.

General admission to the Preview Night is $5, with a maximum family admission of $15.

Booksellers will be charged $20 and will only be allowed to use scanning devices during the Preview Night event.

Beginning Jan. 28, entry to the sale during regular open library hours is free and no scanning devices will be allowed.
