'Hiring Our Heroes' Job Fair for Vets to be Held Thursday
The event will take place on March 21 at Rider University's Lawrence Township campus.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, ESGR, The American Legion and New Jersey State Library will be hosting a Hiring Our Heroes (HOH) job and coaching fair at Rider University’s Student Recreation Center, 2083 Lawrence Rd., Lawrence Township, on Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A military transition workshop on resume writing, interview skill training and free online job seeker resources will start at 8:30 a.m. with representatives from the State Library, Department of Labor & Workforce Development and Lowes.
Veterans and their spouses are encouraged to take advantage of this event, which will be supported by American Legion Post 414, Rider University, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA), the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD), the Veterans Administration (VA), the State Parole Board, the Middlesex County Library System, and other local partners.
Veteran job seekers and employers should go to HoH.GreatJob.net to register. Employers must have current job openings, and must register.
