Freezing Rain Advisory Issued for Mercer County

Drivers should be prepared for longer than expected commute times on Monday morning due to slippery roads.

 

 

The National Weather Service in Philadelphia/Mount Holly has issued a freezing rain advisory for Mercer County from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday. 

Freezing rain advisories have also been issued for Morris, Hunterdon, Somerset and Bucks County, Pa.

Drivers should be prepared for longer than expected commute times due to slippery roads. The NWS urges drivers to slow down, use caution while driving and give themselves extra braking distance. 

Bridges and overpasses may be extremely slippery, according to the NWS

Warmer air will move in and change freezing rain to rain in most areas by 8 a.m.
