Flu Shots to be Offered by Township Health Dept.

The clinics on Oct. 22 and Oct. 29 are for Lawrence Township residents only, and proof of residency will be required.

 

The Lawrence Township Health Department will host flu vaccination clinics on Oct. 22 and Oct. 29. These clinics are for Lawrence Township residents only, and proof of residency will be required.

The Oct. 22 clinic – which will take place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Senior Center – is for residents 60 years of age or older, or those who are younger who have a chronic illness and possess a doctor’s prescription.

To receive a free flu shot on Oct. 22, you must show one of the following: a Medicare card; a photo identification with proof of age 60 or older; or a doctor’s prescription.

The Oct. 29 clinic – taking place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Township Municipal Building – is for any resident younger than 60 who does not have a doctor’s prescription. The fee for a flu shot at this clinic will be $15, payable by cash or check only.

Typical Lawrence Twp....the flu shot was free in and prior to 2010, cost $10.00 in 2011 and now it's $15.00. No thanks, I would rather pay my co-pay and go to my own Doctor than give this Twp any more money.
