A superior court judge on Friday refused to lower the $400,000 bail that had been set for a Lawrence Intermediate School teacher's aide who was arrested in Ewing Township earlier this month on charges alleging he sexually a 12-year-old boy.

Superior Court Judge Thomas Brown on Friday (Nov. 18) refused to lower the $400,000 bail that had been set for a Lawrence Intermediate School teacher’s aide who was on charges alleging he molested a 12-year-old boy in his home and the child’s home over the summer, according to a report published today by The Times of Trenton.

Authorities have charged Joseph Miller, 52, of Sullivan Way in Ewing, with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Following Miller’s arrest, Lawrence Township Public Schools Superintendent Crystal Lovell said Miller had been suspended with pay and ordered to have no access to schools, pending the outcome of the criminal charges against him.
